Wisconsin to receive nearly $120 million for water infrastructure upgrades


MADISON (WKOW) -- The Biden Administration is sending nearly $6 billion across the country to help clean up the nation`s drinking water and Wisconsin is getting a piece of that funding.

The money comes from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that designated $50 billion towards improving the country`s water infrastructure.

Almost half of the funding will be available as grants or principal forgiveness loans, ensuring funds reach underserved communities most in need of investments.

According to a release from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Wisconsin will receive around $119.6 million.
