Nearly 10 years ago, news broke about a health crisis brewing in Flint, Michigan, that was the result of state and local lawmakers’ deeply negligent and short-sighted decision-making.To save a bit of money, the city of Flint switched its water source from the Detroit River to the highly mineralized, more corrosive water of the Flint River. The results were catastrophic.
