Trump settles on Oklahoma`s attorney general to lead EPA

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump confirmed on Thursday that he will nominate Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, a global warming skeptic, to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, which he has repeatedly sued and derided for pursuing an "activist agenda."

"My administration strongly believes in environmental protection, and Scott Pruitt will be a powerful advocate for that mission while promoting jobs, safety and opportunity," Trump said in an early morning statement....

Ken Notes: I will repeat, business has to take the lead on sound environmental policy. The more traditional advocacy groups will find they are on the outside of the new administration. I do hope we see conservancies and others acquire more lands and easements. Also we need to exponentially increase our development of cost effective solar, wind, geothermal and other renewable energy production. We must demonstrate the jobs, revenues, and sustainability in this field.
