New leader to take reins at Conserve Lake County

The environmental and land-conservation education group Conserve Lake County has hired from within for its new executive director, tapping Sarah Surroz for her knowledge of the many programs the organization has throughout the county.

"Sarah has an excellent grasp of Lake County`s land and water conservation issues and is well positioned to lead the growing number of people who are joining with us to help protect this region`s outstanding quality of life," said Gary Mitchiner, Conserve Lake County Board Chair. "We`re excited about both her vision and skill set."
