Wisconsin right to oppose EPA overreach on power plan


In a recent column on forced implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Power Plan, Tia Nelson, managing director of the Outrider Foundation, said Wisconsin "stands alone" in not starting a compliance plan. We're not clear what they mean by "starting" a compliance plan.

However, what we do know is that Wisconsin does not stand alone in its opposition to this unconstitutional expansion of the power of the federal bureaucracy. In fact, 27 states, including most in the Midwest, are united in fighting the plan....

Ken Notes: I an not sure why Stepp and Nowak are going after Tia Nelson here it seems they need to push their agenda, which has some positive components, with the EPA. I agree that there are two sides here and we often fail to look at the economics. Here we have a real chance to establish our leadership and work with the power companies and corporate Wisconsin as they suggest. The court battle seem a tactic of last resort...
