Wisconsin Senate Candidates Don`t See Eye-To-Eye On Combating Climate Change


Wisconsin candidates in this year`s U.S. Senate race disagree over President Barack Obama`s Clean Power Plan; and that`s just the beginning of differences between Republican Sen. Ron Johnson and Democratic challenger Russ Feingold on environmental policy. 

Environmental groups such as the League of Conservation Voters Victory Fund have spent at least $1 million on ads this summer and fall blasting Johnson as being out of touch on climate change.

The ad shows a 2010 interview where Johnnson said he doesn`t think the science of human climate change is proven, but these days the senator doesn`t attack climate science as much as he does the Obama administration`s effort to go after a key emitter of greenhouse gases — coal-fired power plants...

Ken Notes: Too bad this is a political issue. It should be a people issue and we need to balance a strong effort to improve our environment with sound business practices. If we remain as divided as we are business will continue to leave the US, environmental regulation will serve to punish not solve issues and the yo yo administrations never find long term solutions...
