of the pack.” – Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website Clean water is a cornerstone of our quality of life in Wisconsin. It says so on the DNR’s website. But a recent ruling relaxing regulation of high-capacity wells, and a new audit that documents the DNR’s failure to act against excessive polluters, raise serious questions about the state’s desire or ability to do anything about water problems in Wisconsin.
