EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Chippewa Valley Technical College recently received two national accolades which showcase energy-efficiency and green-environmental features.
Focus on Energy selected CVTC’s Energy Education Center as a 2016 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award Winner, while the U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the facility LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification. The awards were announced Thursday during CVTC’s Earth Day celebrations.
“We are really an elite tier of buildings in Wisconsin that have received this honor,” Adam Wehling, associate dean of agriculture and energy programs at CVTC, said to WEAU 13 News on Thursday....
