A Tesla for the rest of us - the Model 3

Matthew Dornquast of Minneapolis was among 1,200 people in a Hawthorne, Calif., hangar late last month when Tesla Motors unveiled its latest electric car. He got a close look at the new Model 3 and even took a ride in one.

But Dornquast also was unexpectedly able to closely study Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk during the sedan’s 23-minute rollout — and he saw the famed industrialist close to tears.
