A county in Wisconsin is facing a time when it will need to make some
important decisions – and pay some significant costs – when its
landfill reaches capacity in an estimated three to five years. The
Kestrel Hawk Landfill is approaching closure, so Racine County will need
to either find a new landfill site or begin trucking local trash to other landfills, which would increase transportation costs, according to the Associated Press.
