Dear Editor: I share Dave Zweifel and Spencer Black's alarm at what's happening to environmental protections in Wisconsin. It seems like it comes down to "big government" versus "big business."
One thing that would not increase the size of government and would be good for business is a carbon fee and dividend. A steadily rising price on carbon would spur innovation; a dividend would spur the economy. Best of all, greenhouse gas reductions would lessen the danger of climate change....
Ken Notes: One more time... The key will be to work WITH businesses and power companies on these issues. Our leadership needs leadership and direction - this is now coming from very small but influential lobbying groups. Media and the public is not in the loop...
