Wisconsin`s environment is at a crossroads

Wisconsin has been a leader in environmental protection. This includes key roles in forming national organizations such as the Wilderness Society and Sierra Club, and creating Earth Day in 1970.

We should be proud of our heritage and respect the foresight of our past environmental leaders. The conversation went from developing exploitable resources to cherishing them for their aesthetic, moral and spiritual properties.
